Mount Olympus Forums Rules Last updated Sunday, January 17, 2010 By registering on Mount Olympus Forums, you accept that you will follow all of these rules and all terms of service by Mount Olympus and Zetaboards. Note: We are given the right to suspend, ban, or edit your account without warning or explanation. Mount Olympus is not liable for ANY damages done to you. This includes giving away personal information to members and having harm done to you after doing so. Rule #1 - Spamming SPAM is short for "Stupid Pointless Annoying Message". On Mount Olympus, spam is not a tolerable thing to do as it floods the board / C-box and generally annoys members. For this reason, spamming is an offense that his highly moderated and if it is an offense that is committed several times suspensions can and will be given out. Examples of Spamming: Hi. /endpost In real life conversations (About Events that do not necessarily concern others. However, some real life topics are brought up (Like, talking about funny memories with each other) they are tolerated.) Dude i just saw a jigglypuff in space that had three eyes instead of two and it was seriously awesome dude. Rule #2 - Flaming Flaming is verbally assaulting another member of the site with text or by other means. If another member is bothering you by flaming you or in a way similar to flaming, please contact a moderator as soon as possible. Rule #3 - Profanity Profanity is accepted on Mount Olympus. However, excessive profanity without reason or posting disturbing material that is NOT PG-13 rated will lead to warnings or suspensions. Rule #4 - Some Forbidden Topics On Mount Olympus, there are several topics that are NOT tolerated to be discussed or posted on here. They are all listed below: Pornography (In ANY kind.) Religion Racism Personal Information (As stated before, if you give out any of your Personal Information we are not found liable for any damages done to you.) Emulator / ROM / Flash Card Discussion. (These are considered illegal discussion and they will not be permitted for conversation here.) Rule #5 - Advertising Advertising other forums / websites on Mount Olympus is strictly prohibited. Other forums are not to be posted unless an administrator states you are allowed to. However, directly recruiting from our members or constantly advertising or posting links to another forum can lead to serious suspensions/ Rule #6 - Backseat Moderating Backseat Moderating is when you're instructing others (or yelling at others) about breaking rules. Instead of trying to handle the situation yourself, please message a moderator to deal with the problem. If there are none around, please copy and paste the entire conversation to a moderator so it may be further discussed. Rule #7 - One Account / Name Per Member When you register on Mount Olympus, you are agreeing to not register a second time or by making multiple accounts. Rule #8 - Name Changes When you undergo a name change, it is your duty to update it both for the C-box and Forums. You must also post a thread in the Bulletin Board telling others what your previous username was and what it has been changed to now. Excessive Name Changes will be declined and you may only perform them once every two months. Rule #9 - Plagiarism Plagiarism is not just a serious offense on Mount Olympus, it is a serious offense anywhere in the world. For this reason, if you are found plagiarizing others claiming their work as yours or not giving proper credit serious suspensions can and will be given out. For any site custom ranks, their characters belong to their respective owners. However, the graphics are for use ONLY on Mount Olympus and nowhere else. Rule #10 - Suspensions (Bans) Suspensions on Mount Olympus are final unless overturned. If you're under a suspension, you are instructed to not return. By registering, you are required to abide by that. Making multiple accounts after been suspended can lead to even worse punishments. Rule #11 - Impersonating Members Impersonating other members of the site (even as a joke) is considered a serious offense. Those who commit it are subject to serious suspensions if not permanent. Rule #12 - Bumping / Necromancy Bumping is permitted by members once every 48 hours. Topics that have not been posted in for 90 days are longer will be locked and there will be no way to reply to them unless they are reopened after that point. If you see locked topics about something you wish you could discuss, simply start up a new topic about the subject. Rule #13 - Displays Members are given the option to represent themselves with an Avatar and Signature on the Forums where on the cbox they may represent themselves only with an avatar. You must ENSURE your displays abide by any and all rules mentioned above. The ability to use avatars and signatures are a privilege you have as a member and if you use offensive material your rights of using them will be removed. Rule #14 - C-box The "C-box" is a chatbox that is funded by the site Staff. The C-box is a privilege for any member of the site to use. However, unregistered members or suspended members are not permitted to use it. If the C-box is becoming a problem or others are misusing it's intention, it can and will be brought down for a decided period of time. Any and all site rules are to be followed on the C-box and more then five posts in a row (that are not detailed and can be considered SPAM) will get you suspended.

Rule #1 - Spamming
